I got this book because I enjoy reading about the music scene that gave us such great music from the 50's through the early 70s. This book has way too many mistakes and entries that are just not true. With this in mind, I did finish the book and wondered how many other so called "facts" are true. I DO NOT recommend this book. Great book.
A great read!
very good
very informative and enjoyable reading. I was pleasantly surprised that my copy was signed by the author!
If you get this book, make sure you find the author on Facebook as well. He's a hoot!
I picked out at least a dozen factual errors Grand Funk RAILWAY, the Buckinghams did not become Chicago, MacKenzie Phillips was not named after Scott MacKenzie (it was the other way around) and on and on. Couple this with the many, many typos and it just didn't cut it. If I picked out so many errors who knows what other errors I didn't know. Great fodder for urban legends. If read as fiction though I will admit it was enjoyable. Just not reliable.
